Barcelona have won La Liga for the past two seasons but it's not all been good news for them. Their two major rivals in Spain, Real and Atletico Madrid have both won European trophies in that time. Barcelona's last European triumphs were in 2015 when winning the Champions League and European Super Cup. Last season saw them in a dominant situation in their semi-final with Liverpool, winning the home leg 3-0 but then losing 4-0 at Anfield. That loss ended a run of five away Champions League matches without a defeat. This season sees them kick off their group in Germany and Barcelona are currently fifth in La Liga with seven points from four games with 12 goals in their last three league matches.

Borussia Dortmund are second in the Bundesliga, a point behind Leizig. Three of their league games have been won but they surprisingly lost to newly promoted Union Berlin. Last season saw Dortmund get out of their group but then lose both legs of their last sixteen tie to Tottenham. Only one of their last five Champions League games have been won and two of the last eight at home. The tip here is for an away victory for Barcelona.
