Bologna will welcome Udinese on Sunday in a Serie A clash. Bologna is enjoying an excellent season under Thiago Motta, sat fourth and in line for a spot in the Champions League. A huge part of that is down to their exceptional home form, turning the Stadio Renato Dall'ara into a fortress. They have lost just two of their 17 home games in Serie A, second-placed AC Milan on the opening day of the season and the champions Inter Milan in March. They ended a slightly frustrating run with a 3-1 win at Roma when last in action. That will have helped their confidence after 0-0 draws against Frosinone and Monza, results that were a little disappointing. They have kept four clean sheets in their last five games so have been a hard team to score against.

This is a quick return to action for Udinese who played at home on Thursday night against Roma. They were in front at halftime but fell to a 90+5 winner from Bryan Cristante to get nothing out of the game. That has become a far too common occurrence, conceding in stoppage time to drop points in their last three games. Just a superior goal difference separates them from the relegation zone after far too many draws this season, with 16 the most in the league. They have three wins away from home so far and only a single three-point haul at home but that came when beating Bologna 3-0 at the end of December. They have two wins in their last five away games against Juventus and Lazio, both in similar league positions to Bologna.
