Bologna were in relegation trouble last season but had a great run in the second half of the season. The strong point of that improvement was in their home league form. They won seven home games in a row scoring at least twice in all of them. This season has seen them make a much better start to the season with seven points from their first three league games. That's compared to last season when they won two of their first 21 league games. They kicked off the new campaign with a 1-1 draw at Verona but since then have beaten SPAL 1-0 with a 93rd minute winner. Their most recent game saw them travel to newly promoted Brescia. They went 3-1 down in the first half but ran out 4-3 winners. It does show that they are good at scoring goals but not that great defensively.

Roma are eighth in the table with five points from their three league games. They have been involved in a trio of thrilling games with 14 goals scored in those matches. Thursday saw them host Istanbul Baseksehir in the Europa League and won that match 4-0. That's the third time in four league and cup games this season they have scored at least three goals in a match. On the flip side, Roma's three league matches has seen them concede six goals, each fixture seeing both teams score. They regularly score on their travels and the tip here is for both teams to score.
