Bologna could leapfrog defending champions Napoli with a win this weekend as the teams meet in Serie A. This match at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium will see the hosts 11th with five points and the visitors 5th with seven points. Bologna were held to a drab goalless draw in their last league game against Verona. That made it three games out of their last four where they avoided defeat. Crucially though, Bologna won just once in this sequence. Goals have been a problem for the hosts with their tally of three, worse than all sides bar three. Yet, they will be happy to come back home and enjoy the comforts as Bologna have won two and lost one of their three competitive matches here.

Defending champions Napoli have struggled to have the same impact as last season. They won 2-1 against Braga in the midweek Champions League match, halting a two-game winless run where they drew and lost one each in the league. Napoli have already conceded five goals in the league this season, with only one clean sheet thus far. Napoli’s last tryst in the Serie A was a 2-2 draw with Genoa which followed a 2-1 loss to Lazio. Another defeat here is out of question as that would see them fall further back in the title race.
