Bolivia vs Paraguay Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
Bolivia and Paraguay had mixed fortunes in the CONMEBOL region World Cup qualifiers ahead of their faceoff. While Bolivia claimed a 1-0 win at home to Peru, Paraguay were 2-0 losers in Chile, and as Bolivia hosts Paraguay they will be gunning for a third win in these qualifiers. Bolivia have nine points so far and are nine, seven points below the qualification spot, while Paraguay are sixth with 12 points. Prior to their win, Bolivia had played three straight away matches. They will be glad to host this game, on the back of three unbeaten outings in World Cup qualifiers in La Paz. The only setback they had against Peru was seeing Henry Vaca sent off, and he will be absent for this game but they will welcome back Carmelo Algaranaz who was suspended for the Peru game. Bolivia have one win in their last 10 matches but they have a star in Cruzeiro forward Martins Moreno, the lead scorer in the qualifiers. The striker has eight goals, and in the last five at home, he has scored four. They will however need to improve defensively, having kept just one clean sheet in 26 matches. In four home matches against Paraguay, in World Cup qualifiers, Bolivia have four wins, and in each of their last four meetings, they’ve been able to score.
Paraguay are coming from a 2-0 loss in Chile, another outing that their blunt attack came to the fore. That was their third outing in five without scoring and just one win in the last five World Cup qualification matches has seen them drop to sixth. They have four straight winless away matches ahead of this game and have failed to score in three of them. Paraguay have conceded two or more goals in their last three away matches and scored no goal in the last three away matches in World Cup qualification. They will also be without a key man in this game after Omar Alderete was sent off in the loss to Chile. In the last four away matches in World Cup qualifiers, Paraguay have gone winless and conceded two goals in each of the last two.

Our Bolivia vs Paraguay Prediction
Paraguay are in for a huge game here, after dropping out of the qualification slots. They face a side so tough at home, and in a trip they haven’t really prevailed in World Cup qualification. Bolivia have done well at home and take on a goal-shy Paraguay. Based on their home form and especially against Paraguay, we will back Bolivia to win here.
