Bochum will be hoping to add some life to their fight for survival when they welcome league leaders Borussia Dortmund in their next Bundesliga game. The two sides face off fighting different battles, Bochum just two points above the relegation playoff position and Dortmund at the top, a point ahead of champions Bayern Munich. A run of four league games without a win has punched holes in Bochum’s survival quest and after collecting just two points from a possible 12, any more slip ups could see them drop to the relegation region. They are coming from a 5-1 away loss to Wolfsburg, the second time in three matches that they conceded three or more goals. Both teams have scored in all the last four of Bochum’s matches and they have managed more than a goal in just one of their last five matches. The positive they take into this game is that they’ve scored in all their last six matches. The home team has however lost six times in the last 10 games, and they have five losses in six home matches.

The visitors will also need to improve on their away performances; they haven't won in the last five away matches and have conceded at least two in each of the matches.
