Bochum will be at home to welcome Augsburg when the German Bundesliga returns for round 20. Only one point separates the two teams in the standings with 13th-placed Augsburg edging Bochum in 14th. Bochum have had the most of their success this season in the league at home. Fourteen of their 20 victories have come at the Ruhrstadion. This should have them confident of a positive result here. Thomas Letsch’s men are coming off a 3-1 defeat in Dortmund that put to a half a two-game run without defeat. They drew 2-2 with Augsburg in the reverse match back in September. Bochum haven’t lost any of their last six league games at home.

Augsburg haven’t defeated Bochum in three outings, losing twice. This should be extra motivation as they arrive here also seeking to get back to winning ways. Jess Thorup’s men were on the end of a five-goal thriller against Bayern Munich at home. It was their fourth defeat in the last six outings. It left them nine points above the drop zone and 10 from the European places. Just like Bochum, Augsburg have enjoyed playing at home more meaning they have struggled when away. They have suffered five of their eight defeats in the league when being the visitors. The Fuggerstädter’s most recent win however did come on the road as they defeated Gladbach 2-1.
