FC Porto began the defence of their title in fine style in the 2020/21 Primeira Liga and will be hoping to extend that when they play away to Boavista on Saturday. The hosts started their campaign with a 3-3 draw with Nacional as Porto beat Sporting Braga 3-1. Boavista did not end last season with a good run, failing to win any of their last five matches and added to their opening draw, they have now failed to win any of their last six league matches. They have three wins in 15 league games and have conceded two goals or more in five of their last six but have failed to score in just three of their last 10 league matches. With only two clean sheets in 15 league games, Boavista will be keen to patch up defensively as they face last season’s highest scoring side in the league. One other area the hosts will be keen to improve on is the fact they have lost all their last 12 matches against Porto and have scored only one goal in the last 15 meetings.

Porto have not lost any of their last 15 meetings with Boavista; their last loss to the hosts was way back in 2007. With just one loss in their last 11 matches, Porto will be the favorites here and after a shaky finish in their away league matches last season, they will be keen on a good start here. In their last 10 league matches, Porto have one loss and perhaps, their concern will be in the few clean sheets they have had going to this game – one in the last five league games. They have failed to score once in the last 49 league matches and scored two or more in six of the last 10 league games
