Royal AM have the upper hand in the race for second place and will be looking to return to second spot when they play host to the champions, Mamelodi Sundowns. Going into this game in third place, Royal AM have a game in hand and 46 points while Sundowns, on 62 points, have already been confirmed champions. In the two meetings between these two sides this season, Sundowns have won all but both teams have scored. Their most recent meeting was at the end of April with Sundowns winning 2-1 in the cup semis. That was one of Royal AM’s last five matches, which they haven’t won any. In that run of five matches, they’ve lost two, failed to score in two, and on two occasions conceded twice.
