Blackburn vs Watford Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Blackburn Rovers are struggling for form but still only five points behind the final Championship promotion play-off position. Rovers are 11th in the table and only behind visitors ninth placed Watford on goal difference. Blackburn have won ten league games this season and two of the sides in the top six have won the same number. However, 11 league fixtures have been lost and only teams in the bottom three have been beaten more often. Current form is a problem for Rovers with three of their last four league fixtures ending in defeat and ten goals conceded. Last time out saw them beaten 4-0 at Southampton. Their only recent win in the Championship was a 2-1 home win over Bristol City who have lost three of their last five games. Home form has been inconsistent with five league wins but six lost and not a draw in sight. Two of their last three home league games have been won and they need to continue that level of performance

Watford made a slow start to the new season but a form guide for the last five league fixtures has them in fifth place. The Hornets will be out to step into Christmas with a second straight league win. Their most recent game saw them go to Preston North End and win 5-1. A pretty good result considering they had gone 1-0 down in the first half. That ended a run of a point from two games but they had faced second placed Ipswich Town (lost 2-1 at home) and Southampton (who are fourth) who they drew 1-1 with. Away form for Watford has produced three league wins with four being lost. They have won their last two on the road and will be keen to make it three.
