Blackburn will play host to Coventry in the Championship on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that the home team need to get something out of. With two games to play, they are only three points above the relegation zone so are not safe just yet after a torrid run that has not seen them win a game at Ewood Park since February 10 against Stoke. They have drawn seven of their 14 league games since that date, including four out of six at home. April has been an all-or-nothing month for them, a 1-0 win on the road at Leeds as well as drubbing Sunderland 5-0 at the Stadium of Light but they have been on the wrong end of a 5-0 themselves at Bristol City as well as a 1-3 loss at home to Sheffield Wednesday last Sunday. They have scored 10 times in their last 10 league games with seven of those netted by the Championship top scorer Sammie Szmodics.

This is a tough game for Coventry after their heartbreaking penalty shootout loss at Wembley to Manchester United last weekend and a home game against Hull on Wednesday night where they lost 2-3 to an 85th-minute goal. That sensational cup run has seen them take their eye off the ball in the league of late, winning once in their last five in the Championship and with that run of form. their playoff hopes have gone up in smoke. It took them 85 minutes to break down Blackburn to pick up the three points when the teams met in October but it is hard to know where they are going to be mentally for the reverse fixture.
