With only three points separating Birmingham and Stoke in the lower-half of the Championship table, their match is going to resemble a tight battle. This matchday 24 will be played on the Boxing Day at the St. Andrew’s Stadium in Birmingham city. The hosts are 18th with 27 points while the visitors are right behind on 19th with 24 points ahead of this round. Birmingham are only seven points above the relegation zone and for a team that had set lofty ambitions of qualifying for the Premier League, that’s a fall from grace. It is their poor scoring record that has let them down as Stoke have netted just 21 goals in this season, and only the bottom-three sides have a poorer record after 23 rounds. Their record on the road isn’t any better in terms of wins, as they are winless across their last four away league games – drawing and losing two each.
