Birmingham City will welcome Millwall on Saturday in their next Championship match. The hosts have started the season strongly and sit in third place in the standings while Millwall are down in 11th. Birmingham City are one of the five teams to still have their unbeaten record intact in the English second tier. They have won three and drawn one of their four fixtures and sit tied with three other teams on 10 points. John Eustace's charges however arrive for this match off the back of a defeat. Birmingham were eliminated from the League Cup in midweek by Cardiff. They lost 3-1 at home but it is safe to note that six changes were made to the squad. Before the loss, the Blues had won four straight matches. Birmingham won 1-0 away from home the last time these two teams met. The win ended an eight-match run without a win in this fixture.

Millwall have stuttered this season. They have won two and lost two of their four league fixtures. This inconsistent start has them on six points, three outside the playoff places. Gary Rowett's charges arrive for this match however off the back of a win. The Lions ended a three-match losing run last weekend with a 1-0 win at home against Stoke. It was their second 1-0 success of the campaign following the matchday one win away to Middlesbrough. Millwall have struggled with scoring goals and have not scored more than one in a game all season. But with how they have performed in recent years against Birmingham, they will be confident of a result here. Millwall have avoided defeat four times in the last five meetings with their soon-to-be hosts, winning twice.
