Birmingham City have made a miserable start to the new Women's Super League season. Two games have produced two defeats and they are still looking for their first league goal of the season. Their third game is at home to Reading who have won one and lost one of their two fixtures. Birmingham finished fourth in this league last season, just the one place above Reading but 13 points ahead of them. They have had a string of players leave after a managerial change and look like struggling this season. Both of their league games have ended in 1-0 defeats with league leaders Everton and West Ham being the sides they have lost to.

Reading began the new season with a 1-0 win away at Liverpool but then lost 2-0 at home to Manchester City who have a 100% record this season. They haven't had too many personnel changes during the summer and are again likely to be around fourth or fifth in the table but nowhere near title contention. The tip for this game is a narrow away victory for Reading.
