Birmingham City begin the weekend in eighth place in the Championship, four points behind the final promotion play-off position held by Bristol City but from a game more. They'll be hoping that second-placed Leeds United can do them a favour by beating Bristol City on Saturday. Current form for Birmingham isn't that of a promotion chasing team. They have only won one of their last four league games and last week lost at Hull City. They only have one win in their last five home league games and haven't beaten Aston Villa in a league game since 2005.

Their opponents in this derby match are Aston Villa who are also hanging onto their promotion hopes. They start this set of games in 11th place but only six points adrift of the play-offs.The return of Jack Grealish inspired them to a 4-0 home win over Derby County last weekend with all the goals coming in a fantastic first half. They needed that win though as it was their first league victory since January 26 when beating bottom-of-the-table Ipswich Town. Their away form isn't too impressive with no wins in their last five away league games. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the tip here.
