Real Betis had a shaky start to the season but come into this game against fifth placed Atletico Madrid in good form. They are up to 12th in La Liga and only five points behind the final Europa League place. Betis have won three and drawn one of their last four league fixtures and a form table for the last five league matches has them in sixth place, compared to eighth for their opponents. Two of their recent wins have come against Valencia and Athletic Bilbao, both currently in the top eight. Home form is good for the season with five of their nine league games being won with two defeats. Three of their last four have been won so this isn't going to be an easy game for Atletico.

The visitors are fifth in the league and will have been glad that El Clascio ended in a draw.  They are seven points behind the league leaders and a point behind the final Champions League place. Atletico may have only lost two league games this saason but eight have been drawn. Converting a few of those into wins would have them hot on the heels of Barcelona and Real Madrid. 17 league games have only seen 28 goals scored and just 11 in eight away matches. All but two of their 17 league games this season have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. This could well be another one as Madrid keep it so tight on the road with only five goals conceded in La Liga this season. Go for under 2.5 goals in this match.
