Betis welcomes Atletico Madrid to the Estadio Benito Villamarín for this La Liga match. The home team are in third position with 46 points while the visitors are in fifth position with 45 points with both teams having played 26 matches. Betis suffered a 2-1 loss to Sevilla in their last match which was their second defeat in the last four matches. They are hoping to secure a Champions League spot but just two points separate them in third place and the sixth placed team. Betis have only lost two of their last five home matches against Atletico Madrid but previous to this they had lost six of the seven home matches against them. They have however lost three of their last seven home matches in the league which is as many as they lost in the previous 22 matches.

Defending champions Atletico Madrid are having a season they would want to forget as their title defence was over long ago.
