Besiktas will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they host Turkish Super Lig rivals Fenerbahce on Saturday. Fenerbahce sit top of the standings heading into this weekend while Besiktas are third. Besiktas are 11 points off the pace and cannot afford to fall further behind in the race for the title. The hosts, who have won eight of 14 matches, have already seen a managerial change. Riza Calimbay was appointed less than a month ago. He has led Besiktas to seven points in the three matches he has presided over and will be eager to keep his unbeaten league start going. The Black Eagles drew 1-1 with Ankaragucu last time out. Besiktas haven’t lost to Fenerbahce since 2019 and have won three of the seven matches in this period.

Fenerbahce are coming off a 4-1 victory over Sivasspor. The win was the perfect response to their 6-1 mauling at the hands of Nordsjalland in the Conference League just days before. Ismail Kartal’s men have wavered in the last month or so. Having won their first 19 games across all competitions, the Yellow Canaries have now won only twice in their last six outings. They have been defeated three times in this period with one of those defeats coming in the league. Fener have accumulated 37 points and only goal difference is separating them from second-placed Galatasaray. Saturday's visitors haven't lost in their last three visits to Besiktas.
