Besiktas Istanbul vs Sivasspor Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Besiktas will play host to Sivasspor on matchday four in the Turkish Super Lig this Sunday. The hosts are currently in 11th place in the early stages of the season, though they have played a game less than most of the sides above them. The visitors are in the top three. Besiktas come into this match having successfully navigated the Conference League qualifiers. They overcame Dinamo Kyiv 4-2 on aggregate in the playoff round and will feature in Group D of the main tournament. The Black Eagles were involved in those qualifiers since round two and won each of their six matches. They are unbeaten in eight in all competitions this season, with their only draw coming in the league against Pendikspor two weeks ago. Besiktas finished a whopping 37 points above this opponent last season and have not lost at home in any competition in their last 30 matches. The hosts are the clear favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, after a very poor 2022-23 league season, Sivasspor have made a promising start to the current campaign. They are on five points after three matches with draws against Samsunspor and Antalyaspor, while they won their only away match against Gaziantep. The visitors are now unbeaten in their last five league matches either side of the break. The Braves barely avoided relegation last season, ending just one point above Giresunspor and the drop zone. In 18 away matches last season, Sivasspor recorded six wins, one draw, and 11 losses. While on paper, their chances may not look too good, the visitors did beat this opponent 1-0 in their last match. Still, that win came on their home patch, and getting a result at Besiktas Park has proved a difficult task for any side in recent times.
