Besiktas Istanbul vs Pendikspor Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Besiktas will welcome Pendikspor on Sunday in round two of the 2023/24 Turkish Super Lig campaign. The hosts arrive for this weekend’s match sitting sixth in the standings while Pendikspor are bottom. Besiktas were one of seven teams to win on matchday one and began the campaign with a 1-0 win away to Karagumruk. Senol Gunes’ charges have been in absolutely fine form since the second half of last season and look formidable at the moment. The Black Eagles have not lost a match since losing 1-0 to Sivasspor in February. They have played 24 matches across all competitions since then and have won 19 times. Seven of those victories have come in their last seven outings with five being competitive fixtures. Siyah Beyazlılar began their season in July in the qualifying rounds of the Europa Conference League. They won 2-1 against Neftchi Baku at home last time out to secure progression to the final round of qualifying.

Pendikspor are making their top-flight debut but things did not go as planned in their season opener. Osman Ozkoylu’s charges were thumped 5-1 at home by Hatayspor. The result sent both teams to opposite ends of the standings. They will hope to cause an upset here and avoid battling relegation this early. The Istanbul-based club finished second in the second tier last season and won promotion via the playoffs. They finished in the top three in most matches won and fewest lost but they haven’t been close to this form recently. Pendikspor haven’t won in their last four outings and have lost three times. They have conceded 11 times while scoring just four goals. Pendikspor and Besiktas have played each other once but never in a competitive fixture.
