Besiktas Istanbul vs MKE Ankaragucu Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

The Turkish Super Lig continues this weekend with one of the matches seeing Besiktas host Ankaragucu on Sunday. The league resumed last week following the devastating earthquake that rocked the country close to a month ago. Besiktas are a long way off from being title challengers despite being third and will concentrate more on securing a place in Europe for next season. Ankaragucu on the other hand find themselves on the opposite end of the table fighting relegation. Besiktas drew 0-0 at home with Antalyaspor last time out and have now not won in three straight matches which has seen them drop to 14 points behind table toppers Galatasaray. Despite being solid defensively, their not-too-potent attack has hindered them from making a sustained title run. At home is where they have had their most success though and are currently unbeaten there in their last seven league matches. In four of those seven matches they have kept a clean sheet and against a struggling team like Ankaragucu that is finding it hard to score, another shutout looks more likely here.

Ankaragucu resumed their season with a 2-0 loss at home to Fatih Karagumruk and have now lost back-to-back matches with the same score line. This has stunted their quest towards getting out of the relegation picture and only goal difference is keeping them above the drop zone. They have scored 24 goals this season which is the third-worst tally in the league. Besiktas and Ankaragucu have met each other twice this season already and the former has won one with the other ending in a one-all draw.
