Benin have an uphill task in trying to overturn a 3-0 away loss to Ghana in the second round of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers. Playing at home is welcome, especially as Benin seeks a return to winning ways. They’ve gone winless in the last four matches and in their last five, they’ve conceded in all. The 3-0 loss in the first leg of this tie is their biggest loss in recent matches, but Benin, who have most of the players playing at home, have failed to score in the last two games. Three of their last five matches have ended in over 2.5 goals.

Ghana are a different look without their foreign based stars, but they are still a strong unit, as seen in the first leg win over Benin. They take to this game a stronger run, and having missed the last edition of CHAN, they will be targeting to go all the way. Their win over Benin in the first leg was the first in six CHAN matches and the second clean sheet in that run. They’ve conceded twice in two of their last five matches while they have one clean sheet only in the period. Their away run in this competition hasn’t been quite strong either, as they’ve failed to score in any of the last four.
