Benfica have managed to hold on to a comfortable lead in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and will be targeting three more points when they welcome ambitious Casa Pia. The hosts have 50 points, at the top of the league standings, and will seek to rise past the challenge of a team placed fifth, 20 points below them. Benfica’s 3-0 over Arouca in the last game was their third in a row and a sixth unbeaten outing in all competitions. This season, they have only lost once in the league, away to Sporting Braga, and a key highlight ahead of this game will be the five clean sheets they’ve kept in the last six matches. The league leaders have scored two or more goals in each of the last five matches, four of them in the league, and three of the last four have produced over 2.5 goals. They haven’t lost a home league game this season, winning eight of the nine played.

In the first meeting with Benfica this season, Casa Pia gave a good account of themselves, limiting Benfica to just a 1-0 win.
