Benfica can go top of the Portuguese Primera League if beating 10th placed Casa Pia at home. They are second in the table, a point behind leaders Sporting who don't play until Monday. Benfica's struggles in the Champions League continued in midweek with a 1-0 home loss to Real Sociedad. In their domestic league, the Eagles are bidding to make it five straight wins. Seven of their eight league matches this season have been won, the other a 3-2 loss at Boavista after leading 2-1 going into the 90th minute. The Reds have won all three of their home league fixtures this season. Seven goals have been scored and not one conceded by them.  The most recent win was a key 1-0 victory over Porto. They are unbeaten in their last six home league fixtures, all with clean sheets. With Sporting being faced in the league game that follows this one, they won't want any slip-ups this weekend.

Casa Pia are in tenth position in the Primeira League, 12 points behind their opponents. They are struggling for form with only one point earned from their last three league fixtures. Their most recent game was a 1-0 home loss to Estrela, their second successive league defeat. On the road, Casa Pia have won twice in the league this season but both wins came against sides currently in the bottom six. Only one of their last three away league games has been won. They did win away at Rabo Peixe in the Portuguese Cup last weekend but this is a far far tougher task. We tip Benfica to win this and lead at both half and full time.
