Belgium vs France Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League
by Daniel Ngulu | in UEFA Nations League Predictions
A top-drawer clash is on the cards when Belgium meets France in the semi final of the UEFA Nations League. The two face off for the first time since France eliminated Belgium from the 2018 World Cup at the semi final stage. As much as Roberto Martinez denies it, revenge will be part of Belgium’s agenda going to this game. They have done well in recent matches and going here they have four wins in the last five games and have scored in all of the five games. Belgium have three clean sheets in five matches and three of the five games have also produced over 2.5 goals, while they’ve scored two or more goals in five of the last eight. They’ve lost once in the last 17 matches and after their Euro 2020 elimination, they have registered three straight wins. Belgium are the top ranked team in the world, and while Martinez has done well with the team, the fact that with all the talent, he hasn’t delivered silverware sticks out. That is one area they will hope to improve on here.
France have no losses lately, but haven’t also won a lot. They are coming from a 2-0 win over Finland, their first win after registering draws in the earlier five matches. They were eliminated by Switzerland from the Euro 2020 on post match penalties. As they go to this game, both teams have scored in France’s five of six matches while the world champions have kept just one clean sheet in the process. Antoine Griezmann has been in great form for Les Bleus lately and will be among the players expected to light up the French’s quest for this continental silverware. Olivier Giroud has been left out but Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is fully back and should be able to provide more options to Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe. Over the last 35 years, this will be the second competitive meeting between these two nations but they’ve played eight friendly matches in between. France head here unbeaten in their last six Nations League matches.

Our Belgium vs France Prediction
Belgium have the better run going to this game, and they have scores to settle with France, the team that eliminated them from the 2018 World Cup. With a crop of talented players, Belgium will not want to miss this chance to win silverware. France have struggled a lot in their recent matches and were dismal in the Euros so a win for Belgium is more likely.
