Belgium vs Belarus Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in World Cup Predictions
After battling to a 1-1 draw away to Czech Republic, Belgium are back at home to take on Belarus, who are coming from a win over Estonia. Belgium are joint top with Czech Republic in Group E thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s 59th goal, which secured one point in the clash in Prague. Belarus have three points from their win over Estonia and this will be their second game in this group. Belgium’s draw with Czech Republic marked their sixth unbeaten outing, with five wins therein. They have one clean sheet in nine matches and scored two or more in seven of their last 10 matches. Six of Belgium’s last 10 matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they are unbeaten in 30 matches when playing as home team. In their last two matches, Belgium have had to come from behind but are undefeated in 22 World Cup qualification matches. At home, in World Cup qualification matches, Belgium are unbeaten in their last 12.
Belarus had a scare in their 4-2 home win against Estonia, coming from down twice in the win as they started their campaign on a positive note. It will be a different challenge here; a bigger one, and with just two clean sheets in their last 10 matches, the defence has to hold firm. In attack they don’t seem to have much trouble though, having scored in eight of their last 10 matches. In the win over Estonia, Belarus scored the final two goals against a side that had a man down, which says much about their strength, but they’ve scored two or more goals in seven of the last 10 matches. Three of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and four of their last five away matches have yielded over 2.5 goals as well. The visitors have failed to score in just one of their last seven away matches. However, Belarus are winless in their last four away matches and have conceded two or more goals in the last three away matches. In World Cup qualification matches away from home, Belarus have 11 straight losses.

Our Belgium vs Belarus Prediction
Both Belarus and Belgium have impressive scoring runs as they head to this game. Belgium rarely fails to score and with the quality of players in the team’s attack, that’s expected. Defensively, they’ve been a bit shaky though, and this is where Belarus will be hoping to take advantage of. With both sides expected to score, over 2.5 goals will pass here.
