Bayern Munich hope to get back to winning ways when they host Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Wednesday night. Union Berlin held the reigning champions to a 1-1 draw on Saturday that leaves them second in the table after 11 games, one point behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Wolfsburg, meanwhile, are only three points behind Bayern in fourth place. The Wolves extended their unbeaten run to 11 games in the Bundesliga on Friday night when they beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at home. Wolfsburg are one of only two Bundesliga teams still unbeaten in this league campaign, the other being Bayer Leverkusen. Terrific away from home throughout 2020, Wolfsburg are unbeaten in 11 of their last 13 away games in the league. Six of their last seven away matches saw them fail to keep a clean sheet. Keeping Bayern out at the Allianz Arena will be a challenging task, the champions scoring in 43 of their last 44 Bundesliga home games. 

Bayern are suffering a slump in their Bundesliga form right now, drawing three of their last four matches. Bayern suffered two of those stalemates at home. Hansi Flick's side are unbeaten in their previous 12 games against Wolfsburg, winning the most recent five, the last three of which saw Bayern keep clean sheets. While Wolfsburg have been in stellar form this season, they may be on the receiving end of a Bayern backlash, Flick undoubtedly urging his side to pull up their socks. Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst could cause Bayern problems, but we expect the home side to prevail in a game featuring both teams scoring.
