Bayern Munich will take on Mexican side Tigres UANL in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup after their wins in the semis. Whereas Bayern are making their second appearance at the competition, it is the first time for Tigres. European champions Bayern Munich will only be playing their third match in the history of this tournament. They joined in at the semi finals, just as it was the case in 2013 as they went on to win it. Heading to this game Bayern are unbeaten in their last six matches and have four clean sheets in the last five matches. Polish forward Robert Lewandowski scored both goals as the team saw off African champions, Al Ahly 2-0 in the semi final. The German side has never conceded a goal at this competition. They have three wins, from the three games they've played in this tournament and all have come with two or more goals.

CONCACAF champions Tigres came to the competition as underdogs and this will be their biggest game yet. They have so far seen off Asian champs Ulsan and South American champions Palmeiras. The Mexican side is vying to be the first team from the region to win this title even as they make their first appearance at the competition. They have scored two or more goals in their last three matches and heading here they will depend on Frenchman Andre Gignac. The forward has scored thrice at the tournament already.
