Two Champions League place contenders lock horns in the Bundesliga on Saturday when Bayer Leverkusen host Borussia Dortmund. Leverkusen are second in the table with seven points from three games. Dortmund are one point behind in fifth place. The home side have played outstanding football over the last few weeks. A respectable 1-1 draw away to Union Berlin was followed by big wins over Gladbach and Augsburg, with Leverkusen scoring four goals in each victory. One of the breakout stars of Euro 2020, Patrik Schick, has been a star performer for Leverkusen. He leads the frontline well, scoring two goals in the opening weeks and averaging five shots per game. The Czech forward should have plenty of chances to add to his goals tally if recent meetings between these clubs are a metric with which to predict.

We can't talk about attackers in a game involving Dortmund without mentioning Erling Haaland. The Norwegian sensation has started the season in flying fashion, finding the net three times and assisting twice. Haaland has scored 63 goals in 64 games since joining Dortmund in January 2020. In a personal battle against any other striker, Haaland will back himself to come out on top. Dortmund have scored three times or more in six of their last seven matches against Leverkusen. All signs point to another thriller happening this weekend. Back over 3.5 goals.
