BATE Borisov vs FC Slutsk Prediction & Betting Tips - Vysshaya Liga
by Steve Ashfield | in Football Predictions
BATE Borisov lost their first two games in the Belarus Premier League but now top the table. They moved aboveFC Slutsk, their opponents in this game (now second) after a 5-3 win at Smolevichi on Sunday. That wasn't as convincing a win as it should have been. Smolevichi (one from bottom in the league) took the lead in the first minute but ended the first half 3-1 down. Smolevichi got it back to 3-3 but two goals in the 80th and 93rd minutes clinched the win. BATE lead the table on goal difference and Sunday's win was their fifth in six league games. They've also reached the final of the Belarus Cup so not a bad season at all after those early upsets. Both those losses were on their travels and home form has seen them win two and draw one. Their wins came against Rukh Brest and Neman Grodno wtih Zhodino holding them to a draw. BATE have three clean sheets in their last four home games and only one of their last 16 in the league has been lost.
FC Slutsk lost their top spot at the weekend aftre a 2-1 home loss to Energetik. They went 2-0 down inside 27 minutes, both scored from the penalty spot. They got a goal back in the second half but despite Energetik playing the last 19 minutes with 10 men, they lost their second league game of the season. FC Slutsk may be second in the table and only behind BATE on goal difference but they have conceded 11 goals. They are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and it'll be a massive surprise if they keep one in this game. Slutsk have won all of their three away league games but BATE are in top form, so go for a home win here.
