BATE Borisov surprised Roma in their last game winning 3-2 but can they possibly repeat that kind of result against Barcelona? More than likely not of course and this should be a slightly tricky but in the end comfortable win for the Spanish side. BATE had to win three qualifying rounds to get through to the group stages and really struggled against such European powerhouses as Dundalk and Videoton. Only an away goals win over Partizan got them through to this stage of the tournament. They began with a 4-1 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen but then shocked Roma by taking a 3-0 lead inside half an hour. The Germans pulled it back to 3-2 but BATE held on for three points and their fourth successive home win in this year's tournament. Barcelona top the group but haven't had that easy a time. A 1-1 draw at Roma was followed by a 2-1 win over Leverkusen in which they trailed 1-0 with ten minutes to go. Neymar is in form though scoring four goals in their 5-2 win at the weekend so who needs the absent Messi?  Neymar and Suarez should prove too much up front for BATE and a win on a -1 handicap definitely looks on here.
