Istanbul Basaksehir vs Trabzonspor Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Fourth placed Istanbul Basaksehir will host second placed Trabzonspor in one of the ninth round of matches in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday. Basaksehir are on 14 points going to the game, just one point behind Trabzonspor. Both teams are coming from midweek action, having played in the Europa League on Thursday. While Basaksehir won their game, it was not all good for Trabzonspor who lost 2-0 at home to Krasnodar. This will be Basksehir’s third straight game at home and after winning the earlier two, they will hope to continue with the same. Basaksehir started the Super Lig on a low, losing the opening two matches but after that they have gone unbeaten in six matches. Going to this game, they will be more concerned with their defensive performance, having managed just one clean sheet in the Super Lig. They have three straight wins in league action and will be hoping to register a fourth. Basaksehir have one loss in their opening four league games at home. They won the last two, scoring seven goals and conceded once. Their only clean sheet of the season came at home. From a possible 12 points at home, they have managed to win seven. They are unbeaten in eight matches against Trabzonspor, winning five. Just three of their last 10 meetings have produced over 2.5 goals.

Trabzonspor’s four – game unbeaten run was ended in the last game and with a possibility of rising to the top of the league, they will have their motivation. What could come to haunt Trabzonspor is that they have no clean sheet in the 15 matches they have played this season. However, they have scored two goals or more in four of their last five matches. They have won each of their last three league matches and in the eight opening games, they have lost just once. Away from home in Super Lig, Trabnzonspor have one win in four this season. With a win, they could rise to second on the standings and that will also be a big motivation to go for a second straight away win. The fact that their only win over Basaksehir in 11 matches came back in 2015 leaves them as underdogs though.
