Istanbul Basaksehir vs Fenerbahce Istanbul Prediction & Betting Tips - Super Lig

Gameweek 22 in the Turkish Super Lig will see Istanbul Basaksehir play host to Fenerbahce on Wednesday evening. The hosts are currently in tenth place, while the visitors lead the league standings. After narrowly missing out on European qualification last term, Istanbul Basaksehir experienced a notable drop-off at the start of this season. They lost five of their first six games and had only won two matches up until the November international break. However, since then, things seem to have turned around as they head into this match, having lost only one of their last nine league games and are unbeaten in seven. That run has also taken them to 27 points after the first 21 games, eight points below Besiktas in fourth place. Despite their improved form of late, they now face a very strong opponent that beat them 4-0 in the reverse fixture back in September. 

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce will look to bounce back to winning ways after dropping points against Samsunspor last weekend. The 1-1 result at home stopped a three-match winning run, though they are still unbeaten in their last ten league games, including seven wins and three draws.  The Yellow Canaries are now on 54 points, level with defending champions Galatasaray and these two have broken away from the pack, already 17 points clear of third-placed Trabzonspor. Fener have been excellent on the road this season, currently on a four-match winning, scoring 13 goals in that time. The visitors are yet to lose an away match this term. Fenerbahce have beaten this opponent in their last three meetings and have outscored them 7-1 in that time.
