Barnsley host Bolton Wanderers in the second leg of this League One play-off semi-final. This tie between the sides that finished fourth and fifth respectively in the main season is level at 1-1. With home advantage Barnsley will hope to finish Bolton off but can they do that? They have had a great home record this season but not towards the end of it. Barnsley lost their last two home games of the season to promoted Ipswich Town and likely play-off finalists Peterborough United. They failed to score in either of those matches and conceded five goals. With ten goals conceded in their last four matches, Barnsley really need to plug the holes at the back if they want to return to the Championshiip.

Bolton will be disappointed not to have won the first leg. They will quickly remind everyone of the fact that in January they went to Oakwell and won 3-0. The club nearly went out of business a few seasons ago and ended up in League Two. Now they are only a couple of games away from being back in the second tier of English football. They won nine away league games in the main season and finished strongly to secure a top six finish. Bolton didn't lose any of their last six away league fixtures with three of the last four won. They aren't scared of going to top sides having drawn at Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday plus winning 5-0 at Peterborough. Four of their last seven away games have seen both teams get on the scoresheet and that may well happen here.
