Barcelona vs Valencia Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

Barcelona might just be title challengers after all this season. They moved up to fifth in La Liga on Wednesday and bid to make it four wins out of five when hosting 12th placed Valencia. Barcelona are now only six points off the top of the table with games in hand on all bar new leaders Atletico Madrid. Atletico went top on Wednesday due to Barcelona defeating the previous league leaders Real Sociedad 2-1 at home. They had to come from behind but were in front by half time. They have now won their last four home league games with 12 goals scored. There are still doubts on their away form though where they have just one point from the last four. With their next two away fixtures being against sides in the bottom four, Barcelona may continue to narrow the gap at the top, crisis, what crisis?  First, they have to get past Valencia and a win looks more than likely.

Valencia come into this game on a run of four league games without a victory. Three of them have been drawn though, with the other a 1-0 home loss to Atletico Madrid. Wednesday saw them in cup action and they needed extra time to win at Terrassa 4-2, after trailing 2-0 in the first half. Their away league form isn’t that great though with no wins in the last four. The last two have ended level but Barcelona away is much tougher than trips to Alaves and Eibar. Another worry is the fact in their last four away La Liga matches, they have conceded two goals in three of them. Just one of their six away fixtures this season has been won. It was a good win though as they beat current leaders Real Sociedad 1-0 in September. They have only scored six away league goals. Barcelona can continue their recovery with a home win and be ahead at both half and full time.
