Barcelona vs Real Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Valeria Di Meglio | in LaLiga Predictions
Barcelona too have not been in their usual best this season but even in their shaky ways, they have managed eight wins in the 12 competitive matches they have managed this season and they are coming from a five – match unbeaten streak while their home form has seen them score at least twice in each of the last seven matches. In their five La Liga matches at home this season, Barcelona have scored an impressive 18 goals, but they will be very concerned that none of the last four has borne a clean sheet. They have conceded seven in the last four home matches. It is worse for their visitors, who have managed just one win in six matches and only scored in two of those and kept just one clean sheet. The El Clasico will for the first time in nine years miss the influential Cristiano Ronaldo but also Real Madrid’s form has left many feeling this clash won’t be as exciting as in the recent years. It has been even tougher for Real away from home; in the last four they haven’t won any and the previous three have produced no goal for the European champions. They have no clean sheet in away matches in La Liga and in their last 16 away from home there has been just one. Barcelona are not far much better either; they have five clean sheets in 15 home league matches. Real Madrid have one win in five against Barcelona in La Liga while they have three wins in the last 10 meetings across all competitions as Barcelona boast of five wins in 10. In five of the last six meetings, this clash has yielded over 2.5 goals and in the 67 meetings between the two sides, Barcelona have posted 29 wins, and Real 20.

Our Barcelona vs Real Madrid Prediction
The two sides’ runs in the season point to an inferior performance in this clash from Real Madrid. A run of just one win in the last six matches is not good enough for a team heading to Camp Nou and Real have also failed to score in the recent past against Sevilla and Atletico Madrid. They find themselves seventh in the league and to point on teams like Real Valladolid, Deportivo Alaves and Getafe as having a better defensive record paints a grim picture of Real’s defending. Barcelona have not been better defensively either, having conceded two more than Real, but they have made up for this with 10 more goals than Real, which gives them the best goal difference. Barcelona star Lionel Mess was subbed in the first half of the win over Sevilla and missed the Champions League win over Inter with a reported broken arm but the Catalans are not short of quality even if he fails to return for the El Clasico. A win for Barcelona seems probable here but both teams are likely to score, pushing the game to over 2.5 goals. A pick on Barcelona keading in both halves also holds an impressive value.
