It's been a big week for both of these clubs with Barcelona clinching the La Liga title and Real Madrid again reaching the Champions League final. Barcelona are 11 points clear at the top of the La Liga table and are yet to lose a league game this season. They have gone 41 league games without defeat and home form has seen Barcelona win 14 and draw two with 45 goals scored and just eight conceded with five straight victories. They are unbeaten in their last 33 home league games with their last loss on home territory being in September 2016. They are still kicking themselves over that Champions League loss to Roma but nothing would delight them more than celebrating their league title win and beating Real Madrid on the same night.

Real Madrid have had a strange season with plenty of disappointing results but still favourites to win the Champions League for the third season in a row. They are third in La Liga 15 points adrift of Barcelona but only four points behind second placed Atletico Madrid with a game in hand. Their lead over fourth placed Valencia is four points with a game in hand.  Real have only lost two away league games all season which is less than they've lost at home where they have been beaten three times. Current form sees them on an eight game unbeaten run in La Liga since a February loss at Espanyol.  Earlier in the season Barcelona won 3-0 at Real Madrid but with the title won and Real thinking of the Champions League final, it's hard to predict this game aside from the fact there are usually plenty of goals, so go for over 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
