Barcelona welcomes Rayo Vallecano to the Nou Camp for this La Liga fixture. The home team are in second position with 63 points while the visitors are in 14th position with 37 points. Barcelona had an excellent 1-0 away over Real Sociedad in their last match. The win was a welcome relief for them as they were on a two game losing run. They were knocked out of the Europa League and then were beaten at home by lowly Cadiz. Barcelona are 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid but their aim for this season will be to secure a top four position. They are currently level on points with third placed Sevilla but have a game in hand while they are two points ahead of fourth placed Atletico Madrid who have also played an extra game. Rayo Vallecano come into this match on the back of a 1-0 away win to Espanyol which ended a run of 12 consecutive league matches without a win.
