Barcelona welcomes Mallorca to the Nou Camp for this La Liga fixture. The home team are in second position with 63 points while the visitors are in 16th position with 32 points. Barcelona lost their last match 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano to make it two home losses in a row. Prior to this they had only lost two matches at home all season. The most worrying part is that they failed to score in both of these defeats. Barcelona have only won twice in their last six matches across all competitions with three defeats and a draw. Barcelona have lost their last three home matches across all competitions but have never lost four in a row at home in their history. They will be confident coming into this match though as they have won their last eight matches against Mallorca. The last time they dropped points against them was in 2010 when they drew 1-1.

Mallorca had an excellent 2-1 win at home to Alaves in their last match and it was their second win in their last three matches. They are making a late rally to avoid the relegation battle as they are only two points above the dreaded drop zone. They find themselves in this precarious situation due to a run of seven consecutive defeats before winning these two latest matches. Mallorca have only won twice away from home in their 16 league matches this season. To make their task even more difficult they have only won once at the Nou Camp in their last eleven matches. Mallorca have taken six points from a possible nine in the last three matches. This is the same number of points they gained in their previous 13 matches.
