Barcelona’s struggles in the season continued with a 0-0 draw at Cadiz and the team will hope to address the situation when they get back home to host struggling Levante. While Barcelona remains unbeaten, they have now dropped six points in their opening five matches and are seventh in the standings with nine points. Levante are doing worse; they are winless so far, and have four points, down in 16th place. There’s still talk about contesting for the title at Barcelona, but they are now seven points behind leaders Real Madrid, albeit with a game in hand. Barcelona’s draw with Cadiz presented their first clean sheet in six matches this season but it was the second time in three matches that they’ve failed to score. They have no win in the last three matches and their six games this season have only produced two wins. The Spanish giants have been on a decline, and they go to this game having won just four of their last 11 league matches. They have three clean sheets only in their last 14 league matches. The last meeting with Levante ended 3-3, but Barcelona have three wins in their last five league games against Levante.

Levante have no win in the season so far; they lost their latest game, 2-0 to Celta Vigo, their second loss of the season, and they’ve failed to score in two of their opening six matches. One positive about Levante though, even with their struggles, they’ve managed to keep scores low. In only two of their six opening games of the season have they conceded two or more goals. As a result, five of their six matches so far, have ended in under 2.5 goals. In their last 14 league matches, Levante have zero wins and no clean sheet; they’ve lost seven and failed to score in five. Away from home in the league, they have six losses. In their last meeting with Barcelona, Levante came from 2-0 down, to force a 3-3 draw, and they will be hoping to go one better here, with Barcelona currently struggling with form, suspensions and injuries.
