Barcelona vs Leganés Prediction & Betting Tips - Copa del Rey

Barcelona lost their lead at the top of La Liga when being defeated 2-0 at Valencia last weekend. They now bid to reach the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey with a home tie against Leganes who are one from bottom in the table. The loss to Valencia was only their second in 16 games after being defeated in the Spanish Super Cup. Home form this season has seen them undefeated in all competitions. They have already beaten Leganes once this season, winning 2-1 away in November. Both of their two previous games before the loss to Valencia had been won. That included a 2-1 away win over Ibiza in this competition. They trailed early on against the side who play in the third tier of Spanish football and had to rely on two Griezmann goals to win, the decisive goal coming in the 94th minute.
Leganes are in relegation trouble with only Espanyol below them in the table. They are three points from safety but have shown some improved form of late. Leganes had a terrible time of it early in the season with their first league victory not arriving until October.They have only won three league games this season, all against the other three teams currently in the bottom four. Only one of their last nine league and cup games have been lost but they nearly lost in the first round of this competition. They trailed to Andorra and ended up having to rely on a penalty shoot out to qualify. Two more games against third-tier sides Murcia and Ebro went smoother. Barcelona won't play all their stars but Leganes haven't won away in La Liga this season. Go for Barcelona to win and be leading at both half and full time.
