There’s a bit of stability in Barcelona’s run since the exit of Ronald Koeman, and Xavi’s arrival has boosted the team even more. They will be hoping for another leap when they play host to Real Betis in their next La Liga game. Barcelona are seventh in the standings with 23 points, four behind fifth placed Betis. Going to this game, Barcelona are unbeaten in the last six matches. They’ve improved in attack, and only failed to score in one of their last six, a 0-0 draw with Benfica in the Champions League. Their matches have however been low scoring. Though Barcelona have top players, the team is still finding its footing after the poor start and confidence is understandably low. Real Betis’ last five matches have also seen eight second half goals and this is a trend we will be watching out for. With four straight wins ahead of this game, Real Betis will be confident of bagging three points at Camp Nou. This will however be a tougher game than any of their last four matches. The last time they faced an opponent of Barcelona’s caliber, they lost 2-0 to Sevilla.
