Barcelona are top of La Liga and can really strengthen their title chances with a win over Atletico Madrid. They only lead the second placed side on goal difference but have a game in hand. A win here puts them three clear with a game in hand and that's really going to put them in a great position. Barcelona just keep on getting great results at present. Their last defeat was at Sevilla at the start of October, at home though they have won ten and drawn one scoring 38 and conceding just seven goals. Barcelona don't just win home games, their last three league wins have been by an aggregate of 14-0. Atletico Madrid are also in decent form with no defeats in their last six league and cup games. Last weekend though they were held to 0-0 draw at home by Sevilla. They have more away points than any other La Liga side but have played 11 games. Atletico have won eight out of those 11 and the last three by an aggregate of 7-0. This is Barcelona away though and a lot tougher than travelling to Las Palmas who they beat in their last away league game. Barcelona know just how important this game is and can get the win to open up a gap on their rivals.
