Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga

Barcelona are on another long unbeaten run at present and won away in the Copa del Rey in midweek. They sit second in La Liga but are four points behind leaders Real Madrid and played a game more. Barca simply can't afford any slip-ups and have to hope Madrid have another bad patch.  Barcelona only have the 10th best home record in La Liga but have only lost one game and the last five league home games have produced three wins and two draws. The last two have been won 5-0 and 4-1 but they might not get such a big win over Bilbao. The away side are seventh in the table and two points behind the Europa League qualification places. They have only lost one of their last eight games and that was a 3-1 loss at Barcelona in the cup. Bilbao did beat Barca 2-1 at home though so aren't that scared of them. Away form isn't fantastic with five defeats in nine league games but those games have only seen 18 goals scored. A bet on Barcelona on a -2 handicap could well be a winner but with Bilbao not conceding that many away (11 in nine away league games), go for the -1 handicap instead.
