Bandari will be counting on another home lift when they get to host Nairobi City Stars in the Kenyan Premier League. Going into this game, the two sides are tied on 34 points, Bandari third and City Stars fourth. A four-game run in the league without defeat has reignited Bandari’s title hopes. They are coming from a 3-2 win over Muranga Seal, recovering from their cup defeat at the hands of Bungoma AllStars. The win was a welcome break after drawing the earlier two league matches. The fact that they’ve failed to score in two of their last five matches should be a concern for Bandari. John Baraza’a team will however like the fact that they are returning to play at home from an away win. They’ve done well at home this season. In their last eight home league matches, Bandari are unbeaten, winning six. They’ve also done well at home against City Stars, winning two of the last three meetings.

Nairobi City Stars will be desperate to get back to their best after disappointing in the last two matches. They are coming from a 0-0 draw with struggling Shabana and had earlier lost 2-0 to AFC Leopards. Having failed to beat Bandari away from home in their last three visits to Mombasa will worry Nicholas Muyoti. That, and the fact they haven't scored in two games is a concern. The team’s three-match winning run away from home was brought to a halt in the loss to AFC Leopards. It isn’t like they’ve been great on road though; in 11 away matches, City Stars have managed just four wins. In the last meeting with Bandari, City Stars won 1-0. However, they will be concerned about their away run when facing Bandari. They’ve lost the last two matches against Bandari in Mombasa and are without a win in three there.
