Azerbaijan vs Wales Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Wales simply have to win this game to retain hopes of qualifying for the Euro 2020 finals. They are fourth with two games to play but a win over bottom of the table Azerbaijan and a home victory over Hungary could take them through. A lot depends on Slovakia failing to win their final two games, one of which is away to group leaders Croatia. The Welsh side have won two, drawn two and lost two of their six matches in this group. They are four points behind second placed Hungary and this is their game in hand. Wales won the reverse fixture against Azerbaijan 2-1, one of only two of their games in this group that have had over 2.5 goals scored in them. Wales have only earned one away point in three group games, a 1-1 draw in Slovakia.

This is an easier assignment though with Azerbaijan having just the one point in this group.That was a surprising 1-1 home draw with leaders Croatia, so this won't be a total walkover for Wales. A 1-0 win for the Welsh via a last minute own goal would be enough for them to keep their qualification hopes alive. Azerbaijan conceded eight goals in their other two home group games. Only one of their last nine games have been won (a 3-2 away win in Bahrain) with only two wins in 11 home games since the start of 2018. Those came against the Faroe Islands and the Kyrgz Republic.
