Austria vs France Prediction & Betting Tips - UEFA Nations League

France aren’t having it easy in the Nations League; they will go into Match Day 3 still winless when they travel to Austria. Hosts Austria are second in League A, Group 1 with three points while France are third with one point. Austria had a great start to Ralf Rangnick’s tenure, beating Croatia 3-0 away from home but back at home, they found it tough against Denmark, falling 2-1. The result against Denmark left Austria with just two clean sheets in their last 10 matches. They however have a good scoring run, which will work well for them against the world champions. Austria have failed to score in just two of their last 10 matches, while in six of the 10 matches, they’ve scored two or more goals. They will need to tighten up defensively though, having conceded twice in three of their last five matches. The last time Austria faced France was in 2009; they lost 3-1.

France haven’t had a great start to the defence of their Nations League title. In their opening game, they missed manager Didier Deschamps who was on compassionate leave, and they lost 2-1 at home to Denmark. In their second game, they made 10 changes, including leaving Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema on the bench but could only draw 1-1 with Croatia. They have scored in each of their last 22 matches and with Mbappe and Benzema expected back, there’s an assurance of this trend continuing. Seven times in their last 10 matches, France have scored two or more goals but six times in the 10 games, both teams have scored. In their last seven matches away from home, France have managed just one clean sheet – their 2-0 win over Finland back in November of 2021. They’ve scored two or more in three of their last four away games and both teams have scored in six of their last seven games.
