Austria have been growing in strength in their recent matches and they have the advantage in Group F of the Euro 2024 qualifiers ahead of their home match against Estonia. Heading into this game, Austria have three points from an opening win over Azerbaijan and they top the group while Moldova are yet to win a point following their opening loss. Austria’s 4-1 win over Kazakhstan was their third straight victory and they have two clean sheets in those three wins. Their losses in the last five matches were handed down by Croatia and France – very strong teams. Their journey in European qualifiers has been smooth over the years, winning seven of their last 10. At home in this competition they have straight wins in the last five, while in the last 10 they’ve managed nine wins and six clean sheets.

Estonia’s three-match unbeaten streak was ended by Hungary in their opening game of this group. They lost 1-0 and will hope to recover against one of the strongest teams in the pool. Considering Estonia have lost their only two earlier meetings with Austria, this will be a tall order. They will however take credit for a few good performances defensively, keeping two clean sheets in four and they haven’t conceded more than a goal in the last five matches. Meanwhile, Estonia have failed to score in only one of their last five matches. Their run in the Euro qualifiers is however very poor, without a win in their last 11 matches in the competition. The only time they avoided defeat in that run was in a 0-0 draw with Belarus. Estonia have failed to score in nine straight away matches in Euro qualification.
