The Confederations Cup isn't the greatest of tournaments, more a dress rehearsal for the host nation of next year's World Cup, so we can't wait for Qatar in 2021.  Germany have never won this tournament with their  best placing a third place finish in 2005 when they hosted the tournament. They can get off to a good start here though with a win over Australia. Germany are clear at the top of their World Cup qualifying group and have only one loss over 90 minutes in their last 17 games. Goals and confidence are flowing and that's bad news for Australia. The Australians had been unbeaten in eight games before a 4-0 home loss to Brazil last week. There's two types of Australian fixtures though, the ones against sides like Saudi Arabia and Iraq and friendlies against European nations and they lose most of those. They did get a 2-2 draw in Germany two years ago but the Germans are notorious for playing weakened sides in friendlies. Go for Germany to win this on a -1 handicap.
