Atletico Madrid will look to get some momentum back into their league campaign, but will Valencia play spoilsport? Atletico are three points behind Barcelona but are only ahead of fifth-placed Athletic Club via goal difference. With that in perspective, their recent form is a cause of concern. Atletico have failed to win four of their last seven league games, losing three and drawing one. All those problems are perhaps set aside when they play here as Atletico are unbeaten in ten home league matches winning nine and drawing one.

Valencia could be looking to play spoilsport as they arrive here with four league wins in a row. They are also just three points behind sixth-placed Real Sociedad, so European qualification is still an outside chance. Overall in all competitions, they have won five of their last six matches and are perhaps peaking at the right time. While that form will help them on this trip is a big question mark, but at least Valencia are giving themselves a chance. They even have four wins out of their last five away competitive matches, but it could still be a tough task to pick up a win on this difficult league trip.
